Green Chili - Marci

Marci's recipe.

Ingredients

1/2  pork roast
1 T garlic (1 or 2 tablespoons)
. salt
. pepper
3 T flour (heaping tablespoons)
4 or 6 Jalapenos
2 Cans

Hatch Green Chilis. Unfortunatly I can't get Hatch Green Chilis in Oregon. Use Whole Green Chili's and remove seeds. Don't use Pickled Jalapenos. ... Tried it by accident and it turned out ok... definitly a different verision of Green Chili.

 

6 cups water

 

Preparation

  1. Cut pork roast into small cubes
  2. Roll pork in flour.
  3. Brown pork in frying pan with some oil
  4. Add garlic, salt, Jalapenos, browned pork, Hatch green chilis, and water to a pot and cook slowly. Make a rue with the flour and water to thicken the chili. Cook for a couple hours on a low heat.
  5. Very good with tortillas or over burritos or over eggs.
